Skilled Machinist Wanted
We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team in an Australian manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing machining tasks by interpreting work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans.
* Plan and execute machining tasks by interpreting work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans.
* Operate and program mills and lathes to machine parts accurately to specifications.
* Set up and adjust machines, monitoring feed and speed to ensure efficient operation and high-quality output.
* Detect and correct equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining to maintain product quality.
* Communicate effectively with management, production control, and quality teams to resolve machining issues.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health standards and safety requirements.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A trade qualification in machining or tooling.
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Knowledge of the use of precision measuring instruments and their application.
* Strong understanding of engineering drawing interpretation and geometric tolerance.
* A valid driver's licence.
* A valid forklift licence is desirable.
