Make a meaningful difference on mental health in one of Australia’s most culturally rich and naturally stunning regions. The Top End Mental Health Service (TEMHS) is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in Katherine, Northern Territory.

About the Role
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide specialist mental health care across rural and remote communities in the Top End. Your work will span clinical care, outreach, hospital support, and education, including:
* Delivering culturally sensitive psychiatric services to remote Aboriginal communities.
* Supporting Katherine Hospital’s emergency department and inpatient discharge planning.
* Collaborating with a vibrant team of nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, and psychologists.
* Teaching medical students and contributing to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) Postgraduate Training Program.
This is a community-focused role with no on-call responsibilities, giving you the freedom to explore the breathtaking landscapes and rich heritage of the Northern Territory.

This role comes with a highly competitive remuneration package including remote allowances:
* Base Salary: $452,475 – $617,551
* Private Practice Allowance: $106,690 – $149,352
* Senior Specialist Rural Allowance: $29,670
