In this role, you will work amongst our community and be a positive public-facing ambassador for Orange City Council, administering the provisions of regulatory legislation in building and development control.

The role:
Reporting to the Manager Building and Environment, you will:
* Use your relevant degree qualifications and current council or private accreditation under the Building and Development Certifiers Act/Reg (Minimum - building surveyor - restricted (class 1 and 10 buildings) (A3)).
* Administer regulatory legislation for building and development control, including assessment of development applications, issuing development consents, and managing construction, complying development, and occupation certificates.
* Carry out building and plumbing inspections and respond to customer requests.
