The Role Our client operates within the agriculture and cotton ginning industry, supporting warehousing and logistics operations during the seasonal cotton period. Based in a busy warehouse and outdoor yard environment, this Loader/Forklift Operator role requires a safety-focused and reliable operator who can work collaboratively within a team while assisting across multiple operational areas. As a Loader/Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, stock movement, warehouse cleanliness, machine checks, and supporting daily site operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. Key Responsibilities This role is essential to maintaining safe and efficient warehouse and yard operations throughout the cotton season. You will assist with machinery operation, stock handling, site maintenance, and inventory processes while following all workplace safety procedures. Operating forklifts and loaders safely and efficiently Loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers Sorting, stacking, picking, marking, and scanning cotton bales Completing stock takes and maintaining accurate records Conducting daily pre-start operational checks on machinery and equipment Operating sweepers and maintaining clean warehouse, rail, and yard areas Assisting with cleaning and preparation of cotton bales where required Supporting maintenance and upkeep of machinery, buildings, and site assets Using hand and power tools to assist with repairs and improvements Following all SOPs, SHE policies, and PPE requirements Reporting incoming and outgoing stock discrepancies or faults Assisting supervisors and team members with operational tasks as required Benefits Competitive pay rate of $34.33 per hour Seasonal role running until approximately September/October 2026 Opportunity to work 8-10 hour shifts across 40 hours per week with overtime available Overtime and penalty rates available, including Sunday and public holiday rates Work within a well-established cotton warehousing operation PPE provided including gloves and safety glasses Gain valuable experience in forklift, loader, and warehouse operations within agriculture Your Skills & Experience Current Forklift Licence required Previous experience operating forklifts and loaders Ability to work flexibly across different tasks and positions Strong teamwork and communication skills Good attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Comfortable working in warehouse and outdoor yard environments Ability to complete physical work and long shifts during peak periods Reliable transport required to travel to site Ability to follow procedures and complete operational records accurately Choose Agri Labour Australia Agri Labour Australia is an award-winning Australian company with clients in every State and Territory.
