Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc. in Adelaide, Australia.
This role will involve developing and implementing quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place and devise methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program and 9 years of relevant exempt experience, or a Master's Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience, or a Ph.D. and 4 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement quality evaluation and control systems and protocols
* Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
* Devises methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment
* Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
* 9 years of relevant exempt experience, or Master's Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience, or Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
* Experience with quality engineering methodologies such as lean and six-sigma
