A fantastic opportunity has come up to be part of an exciting team at one of Sydney's most iconic Pubs. Our kitchen refurbishments are complete, we have a brand new kitchen and we are looking for an enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our team on a Full Time basis. The Hotel has 2 outlets serving Pub Classics & Modern Australian Cuisine functions with up to 300 guests upstairs, the successful candidate will possess the following:
Liaise with managers and other staff regarding food preparation issues.
Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards, ensuring safe working practices are adhered to by all staff.
Monitor performance and train junior kitchen staff.
Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
Manage inventory and order food supplies.
Ensure suggestions or enquiries by guests are dealt with in accordance with company policies.
Determine preparation and service of food ensuring attractive presentation.
Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking equipment.
Planning menus and costing menus.
Minimise food wastage and manage food cost.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced kitchen
Passionate about food with a proven ability to reach the higher standards and quality with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Chef de Partie with relevant
Excellent communication skills
Ability to supervise, inspire and motivate a team to deliver excellent food quality and service
Functions experience an advantage
Must have relevant qualifications for the role (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery)
