Key Quality Leadership Role
This senior quality position drives business excellence across Australia and New Zealand, focusing on high standards, process integration, and continuous improvement.
The key responsibility is to enhance customer trust, reduce waste, and ensure operational resilience in warehousing, production, and distribution networks.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Leadership: Direct, develop, and inspire the ANZ Quality Team, setting clear objectives and fostering future capability.
2. Strategy Execution: Shape and execute strategies to elevate quality assurance, resolve claims effectively, and streamline business processes.
3. System Standards: Champion ISO 9001 QMS and FSC standards, ensuring full compliance and retention of external certifications.
4. Performance Monitoring: Establish robust review processes, stakeholder engagement forums, and quality scorecards to track performance trends.
5. Customer and Supplier Excellence: Own the customer claims and supplier quality resolution process, ensuring timely, transparent, and effective outcomes.
6. Partnerships: Collaborate with key customers and suppliers to strengthen relationships, address issues, and co-develop improvement strategies.
7. Operational Support: Provide expert guidance on quality for warehousing, production, and product issues across the DC network.
8. Process Development: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training programs, and audit frameworks to embed best practices.
9. Error Reduction: Lead initiatives to minimize scrap, rework, and defective inventory.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing improvement and Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) projects.
* Problem Solving: Drive root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to build systemic improvements.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related Business discipline (preferred).
* Experience: Minimum 5 years in quality management, ideally within manufacturing and/or regional supply chains.
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS, FSC systems, CTQ performance parameters, and auditing.
* Business Acumen: Experience with claims and inventory systems, and proven ability to optimize cross-functional processes.
* Collaboration: Influential stakeholder manager with the ability to engage across boundaries and build trusted partnerships.
* Attributes: Proactive, resourceful, and accountable, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.
* Technology: Competent with spreadsheets, databases, and technical product information systems.
