The Role

The Key Account Manager will have direct responsibility for some of the biggest retailers in Australia. You'll be the key conduit between MGAE & our retail customers, tasked with driving the growth of our brands and retail footprint within Australia, identifying and maximizing opportunities for growth in our brands and relationships with our retail partners.

Responsibilities

* Strategic Planning, Forecasting & Sales Planning and follow through.
* Preparation and management of Business Plans for each buyer/category.
* Exceptional sales presentation skills in selling brands/products to buyers and management.
* Must analyze POS data on a weekly basis. Look for trends, planned promotional lifts and outcomes, competitive challenges, etc. - and incorporate details with each buyer in the same Monthly Business Plan meeting.
* Be in front of "Early Reads" - anticipating challenges to first of season POS.
* Establish retailers timelines for all Sales Presentations + forecasting.
* Within 24-48 hours of account visit, provide a contact report to the Managing Director + Marketing team.
* Identify and execute opportunities for growth.
* Proactively and timely follow through and close sales according to the sales plan.
* Monitor the achievement of Sales goals and variances to the business plan on a monthly basis and build actions to address both positive and negative variances.
* Based on the Company's strategic plan, develop short and long-term sales goals.
* Securing new business.

Qualifications

* 5+ years experience in Sales of consumer goods, preferably within children's entertainment or toy industries to major retailers highly regarded.
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related area.

Required Skills

* Current experience in FMCG/Toys/Fashion Industry in developing and maintaining sales relationships with retail customer accounts required.
* Demonstrate ability to influence senior decision-makers.
* Up-to-date knowledge and practical experience of the selling and buying process at retail.
* Very strong negotiation skills and the ability to present to current and new customers.
* Ability to analyse risk and opportunities.
* Ability to develop, present, achieve and monitor business plans.
* Ability to control and monitor financial KPIs.Ability to effectively communicate sales data and market information to other areas of the business.
* Ability to think on your feet and build contingency plans.
* Keeping up to date with products and competitor activities.
* Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office including Excel, Power PBI, Word, Outlook, powerpoint etc.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey information to key stakeholders.
* Ability to travel interstate and internationally.
* Goal oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence determination.
* Customer driven approach and a "go-getter" attitude.

Preferred Skills

* Experience in analysing sales data and forecasting working closely with the Demand and Supply Chain team.
* A proven track record executing in-store activations with retailers and internal stakeholders.
