Responsibilities
- Join a supportive Social Work team providing diverse care across Barwon Health campuses
- Deliver psychosocial assessments, interventions & consults in a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting
- Provide clinical intervention to address the needs of the client and family
- Refer patients to appropriate Barwon Health departments or external agencies as appropriate
- Maintain appropriate records as required by Barwon Health and statutory authority
- Participate in wider service meetings, education opportunities and working groups
- Management of complex risk situations
- Be part of a dynamic and supportive social work and multidisciplinary team

About The Role
Social Work roles operate within a multidisciplinary team and involve work across University Hospital Geelong (UHG) and McKellar Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRC) campuses. The service structure includes a roster that may include weekends or a Monday–Friday pattern depending on role location. The work is dynamic, team-based, and can involve 7-day rosters with appropriate remuneration and entitlements.
Position Details
- Work across Acute, Sub-Acute and Community-based program areas
- Provide psychosocial assessment involving patient, family and engaged agencies
- Collaborate with treating teams and provide clinical consultation
- Refer to Barwon Health departments or external agencies as appropriate
- Maintain required records and documentation
