The Role
The Learning and Development Officer plays a critical role in providing support to both Graytown (VIC) and Port Wakefield (SA), in coordinating and contributing to the implementation of training, career development and learning outcomes for Joint Proof and Evaluation Unit (JPEU).
The Learning and Development Officer will liaison with key stakeholders at both Proof Range sites, and possess solid communication and interpersonal skills, a solid work ethic and demonstrate a commitment to achieving organisational goals.
They will perform under limited direction to achieve complex learning and development objectives within an integrated workforce. They will interpret and provide advice within HR-delivery functions based on legislation, policy and procedures. They will undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct training reviews, evaluations and assessments, and perform procedural, and administrative support activities to achieve results.
About our Team
Proof & Experimental Establishment (Pⅇ) Graytown and Port Wakefield teams carry out guided weapon and explosive ordnance test for a diverse range of munitions, explosive and systems. Testing captures safety and performance data of the munitions which support decision making within Defence. The Learning and Development Officer is critical in this process in the administration of learning and development outcomes that underpin testing activities.
Employment at Pⅇ Graytown currently attracts the Special Defence Locality Assistance allowance of $184.44 per fortnight.
The right person for this role will show the flexibility to respond to the changing context and shifting priorities of JPEU, to achieve business outcomes. In this role, the individual will provide support to a geographically dispersed team.
