Para Planner (Cadetship)

Overview
Inner West Council (IWC) is a leading local government council serving a community of 201,000 people in vibrant inner-city suburbs of Sydney.
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Para Planner Cadetship, a 24-month program combining on-the-job training with an online Diploma in Local Government (Planning) (LGA*****).
Responsibilities
Provide support to qualified planners in the assessment of planning proposals, strategic plans and development applications.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Carry out site inspections and review technical documents and submissions.
Develop reports for Council and Senior Management following Council policies.
Participate in training and on-the-job activities that build practical skills for a future Council career.
Qualifications & Requirements
Commitment to attain a Diploma in Local Government (Planning) (LGA*****).
Interest in planning proposals, strategic plans and development applications.
Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team and contribute to a safe and respectful environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Remuneration
Starting at $****** per week plus 12% superannuation.
