Your next career opportunity

In this role, you will manage end-to-end administration of research ethics applications and committee operations. You will guide researchers through complex ethics processes, helping them meet regulatory requirements while maintaining an excellent experience. You will gain broad insight into cutting-edge research across the University and develop specialist ethics expertise.

What you will deliver

* Administer end-to-end ethics applications, reports and amendments, ensuring accurate records and timely progression through review stages.
* Coordinate ethics committee operations, including agendas, papers, member attendance, meeting logistics, minute-taking and compliant record management.
* Provide clear, context-specific advice to researchers, reviewers and committee members on ethics processes, requirements and system use.
* Communicate committee feedback and decisions promptly, supporting researchers to respond effectively and maintain a positive compliance culture.
* Contribute to compliance activities, including annual committee reporting, operational reviews, member onboarding, offboarding and external member payments.

You may be a great fit if you

* Hold a relevant tertiary qualification or bring substantial experience in a university, research or related environment.
* Demonstrate experience managing end-to-end administration of ethics or comparable review-based applications and associated workflows.
* Provide high-quality secretariat support to decision-making committees, including preparing papers and documenting clear, accurate minutes.
* Possess working knowledge of relevant national ethics frameworks or show capacity to rapidly acquire detailed understanding.
* Interpret and apply complex policies and procedures to varied scenarios, offering clear, practical guidance to diverse stakeholders.
* Plan and prioritise competing tasks effectively, remain adaptable during change and contribute positively to collaborative team culture.

You will join Research, Innovation and Commercialisation, which drives the University's research and enterprise mission. Within the Ethics Shared Service, you will support the Office of Research Ethics and Integrity's critical oversight. The team values service excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement, offering strong support, feedback and development opportunities.
