About the role
Hire A Hubby Beenleigh & Ormeau is looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter / Handyman to join our growing local team.
This hands-on position delivers high-quality property maintenance and carpentry services to residential and small business clients across southern Brisbane and the northern Gold Coast corridor.

Key responsibilities
* General property maintenance and repair work
* Fixing and finishing carpentry, doors, windows, decks, fences and retaining walls
* Patching, plastering and painting walls, ceilings and rooms
* Minor tiling, installations and small renovation works
* Installing fixtures such as clotheslines, towel rails and curtain rods
* Mini Renovations - Residential
* Shop/ Office refurbishments
* Building decks and or pergolas
* Planning daily jobs, preparing materials and maintaining a clean worksite
* Delivering excellent customer service and clear communication
* Working independently while contributing to a supportive team

Skills & experience
Essential:
* Minimum 2+ years' experience as carpenter or 5 experience as an all-round Handyman
* Broad maintenance skillset across multiple trades
* Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
* Friendly, professional customer communication
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Current Australian driver's licence
* White Card and Australian work rights
* Own basic hand tools
Highly regarded:
* Trade qualification in carpentry or similar
* Experience quoting small works or using job management software
* Local knowledge of Beenleigh, Ormeau or surrounding areas
