OverviewHealy State School is seeking applications for the position of Head of Special Education Services (HO1).
This role is pivotal in promoting an inclusive culture and practices within the school community, ensuring equity and excellence for students with disabilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting high-quality teaching strategies and adjustments for students with disabilities, in compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
As a cluster position, applicants should demonstrate the ability and willingness to work across multiple schools.ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.References to Role DescriptionPlease refer to the attached role description for the full list of responsibilities and mandatory requirements for this position.How to ApplyAttach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should be familiar with your relevant work history).
