Aerotek Australia is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance and Training Officer to join our manufacturing operations in Wacol, QLD. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our quality systems, training frameworks, and manufacturing processes meet both internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Plant Operations Manager, you will work closely with Production, R&D/QC, Supply Chain and Warehouse teams to maintain and continuously improve quality and compliance across the site.
About the Role
As the Quality Assurance and Training Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the QHSE Management System, driving quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations, and delivering effective training programs to support operational excellence and compliance.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong QA experience in a manufacturing environment who enjoys working across multiple teams and taking ownership of quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance processes, SOPs, work instructions and procedures
* Conduct QA inspections of raw materials, in-process products and finished goods
* Perform process audits and identify non-conformances and deviations
* Investigate NCRs, complaints and quality issues using root cause analysis
* Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans
* Monitor operational rejects, waste and quality trends
* Maintain document control systems, QA registers and records (SharePoint)
* Support internal and external audits and regulatory compliance
* Deliver QHSE and quality-related training, including onboarding support
* Promote a strong quality and safety culture across the business
About You
You are a proactive and detail-oriented QA professional who can balance hands-on quality work with training and documentation responsibilities. You communicate clearly, work well with cross-functional teams, and are comfortable operating in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role
* Minimum 2 years' experience in training or staff development
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
* Experience with quality documentation, SOP writing and process mapping
* Understanding of Australian Standards and industry guidelines
* High computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, document control)
* Experience with NCRs, CAPAs and root cause analysis
* Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills
Desirable
* Manufacturing QA/QC experience
* Experience implementing or maintaining a Quality Management System
* Qualifications or certification in Internal Auditing, Six Sigma, or Quality
* Formal training or experience in training and assessment
