The partnership team have an impressive reputation within the administrative law space, ultimately seeking a high-performing lawyer with a proven track record of junior mentorship to support their work into major Commonwealth Government clients. Sharpen your legal skillset across a varied administrative law practice.
In this role, you'll be take carriage of admininstrative law matters (dispute resolution and litigation) across a range of major Federal Government agencies and departments including Defence, Home Affairs, regulatory bodies, social services and education.
General responsibilities may include (among others):
* Carriage of your own matters - greater autonomy from the outset
* Merits and judicial reviews before the courts and tribunals
* Drafting propsects advice and litigation strategies
* Preparing evidence
* Drafting submissions
* Preparing other Court and Tribunal documents
* Providing advocacy in the ART and Federal Circuit Court
Working closely with partners and senior lawyers, you'll gain significant mentorship and support across a broad variety of matters within a Commonwealth context.
What we're looking for.
* 5-10+ PQE with previous public and administrative law experience with a litigation focus. Home Affairs experience ideal.
* Experience in appearing as a solicitor advocate
* Excellent drafting and advice writing skills
* Personable, driven and interested in building a career in private practice
