About the role:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. As our Chef, you will play a key role in creating and executing our menu, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and taste. You will work closely with our kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient operation, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to a positive team environment.

You will be the creative force behind the kitchen, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards for taste, quality, and presentation. You will lead a small, tight knit team and work closely with the Front of House staff and the owners.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast items, sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts.
* Develop and update menu offerings based on seasonal ingredients.
* Supervise kitchen staff, including training new employees, delegating tasks, and maintaining a productive work environment.
* Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and storage areas.
* Collaborate with owners on menu planning for weekly and seasonal specials.
* Uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and presentation to our customers.

About you:

* Proven experience as a Chef in a similar role, preferably in a café or restaurant.
* Culinary certification or relevant training from a recognised institution.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles, and presentation.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious experiences
* Flexibility to work across a 7 day week including some 12:00am starts.
