The Role
Willetton SHS is seeking to appoint a Library Officer who brings strong knowledge of library services and the capacity to support Teacher Librarians to provide high‐quality learning resources. As a Library Officer, you will supervise the day‐to‐day operations of the library and provision of reference, information and associated services to teaching staff and students. Our library seeks to offer a contemporary and inclusive environment and service that promotes engagement of students in reading and in the life of the school. The successful candidate should have the creative and technical skills to develop high‐quality resources and ensure systems and databases are leveraged effectively for smooth operations within the library. You should administer library systems which ensure library records are up‐to‐date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are accessible and available to students, staff and parents at all times. This may include providing supervision, training and support to colleagues and the wider community. The successful applicant will ideally have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work unsupervised in a team environment and the ability to use a range of computer software packages.
