Our client is a private psychiatry practice delivering specialist mental health services, including veteran-focused assessments. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Medical Typist with a strong QA/QC focus to join the team in a fully remote capacity.
About the Role
This role is ideal for an experienced medical typist/ Senior Medical Administrator who has a sharp eye for detail and a strong understanding of psychiatric and psychological reporting standards. You will be responsible for quality-checking, auditing, and improving the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of clinical documentation, particularly medicolegal and assessment reports.
Key Responsibilities
* Quality assurance and quality control of psychiatric and psychological reports
* Proofreading and auditing medical typing for accuracy, structure, and formatting
* Ensuring reports meet clinical, medicolegal, and regulatory standards
* Reviewing templates, workflows, and turnaround times for continuous improvement
* Identifying recurring errors and implementing corrective processes
* Providing feedback and guidance to medical typists and admin staff
* Supporting onboarding and training to uphold documentation standards
* Liaising with clinicians and administration to maintain consistency and quality
Requirements
* Must have demonstrated experience as a medical typist, ideally within psychiatry or psychology
* Previous exposure to QA/QC, auditing and medical administration
* Strong understanding of clinical terminology and report formatting
* Experience in private practice highly regarded
* Familiarity with medicolegal or veteran health reporting is an advantage
* Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
* Proficiency in MS Office and medical practice software
* Self-directed and confident working in a fully remote environment
