Primary objective
In line with the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet's marketing and communications strategy and through
marketing campaigns, public relations, content and social media programs, maximise awareness and conversion for the
Northern Territory as a jobs, economy and lifestyle destination for Australians.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Analyse, evaluate and provide advice on the Northern Territory's marketing activities.
2. Develop content for the creation, managing and distribution of campaigns.
3. Coordinate content, site development, localisation and campaign uploads for Department of the Chief Minister and
Cabinet's integrated marketing campaigns, collaborating across the marketing division.
4. Assist with creative asset development, production and ongoing maintenance of video, images, maps and documents,
including sourcing information, overseeing graphic/creative development, proofing and printing.
5. Identify content gaps and coordinate the best approach to get this content disseminated.
6. Provide brand support around creative executions and prepare written briefs as required for services by external
agencies.
7. Stakeholder engagement and events/activations.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Substantial experience in successfully utilising digital analytics and modelling to deliver high level strategic integrated
marketing advice that achieves results.
2. A good understanding of consumer marketing strategy, public relations strategy, content strategy and social media
strategy to deliver against set goals and objectives.
3. Experience in using digital platforms including but not limited to Google Analytics, and Microsoft Dynamics D365.
4. A good understanding of core marketing functions of bought media, public relations, social media, digital marketing and
working with trade and industry partners to deliver conversion opportunities.
5. Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and with limited supervision managing a range of tasks with
different and changing priorities.
6. Experience with events and event management.
Desirable
1. Knowledge of the NT's liveable attributes and political landscape.
2. Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing and/or other related discipline.
