Carine Senior Highs School (SHS) is seeking an outstanding Mathematics teacher to join our collaborative team. It is highly desirable that applicants have experience teaching ATAR methods and/ or ATAR specialist.
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate and dedicated educator, highly motivated to work in a collaborative team environment and be committed to the development of strong professional learning communities focussed on student achievement and success. They should be willing to work across a range of ability levels including ATAR and provide students with a purposeful and engaging learning experience to develop their skills, knowledge, and understandings related to Mathematics.
The successful applicant should be student and relationship focused, enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated. Engagement in ongoing self-reflection and assessment of the effectiveness of practice to create an environment conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that cater for different student learning needs is highly desirable.
You will ideally possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful learning. The successful applicant should be knowledgeable and possess thorough understandings of instructional and curriculum expertise whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments within the Learning Area. You should have high expectations, display a commitment to excellence and use a range of pedagogies effectively.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
