We have a full time position available for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our busy and growing cardiology practice at Hollywood Consulting Centre, Nedlands.
The successful applicant will be required to cover services at the Reception desk and administration area and must be able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
* Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and follow-ups
* Answering and returning phone calls and queries in a professional and courteous manner.
* Invoicing patients and making appointments using Gentu medical software.
* Knowledge of Medicare billing, private health insurance processing, and DVA claims
* Accurate data entry and scanning and attaching documents to patients' electronic record
* Attending to emails, faxes and messages on software.
* General office administration duties photocopying, faxing & emailing documents
* Receive and process incoming and outgoing mail
Essential requirements include:
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Medical receptionist (Cardiology experience highly desirable)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills – as well as dealing with patients, you will be required to liaise with multiple number of medical professionals, allied health and administration staff. It is essential to have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Able to work as part of a team and independently as required
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Understanding of basic medical terminology, particularly cardiology terms
* Right to work in Australia
* Office Hours: Mon-Fri
