The Role Our client is a reputable, family-owned and operated livestock transport business that has specialised in cattle transportation for the past eight years. The organisation is experiencing continuous growth and is committed to efficient, low-stress stock handling while providing high-quality services to long-standing and prospective customers. The business operates primarily within central to southern Queensland, managing the transportation of cattle to and from saleyards and feedlots, as well as to abattoirs in locations ranging over a vast network throughout Queensland. The company sometimes transports heavy machinery and hay to support the local community. The fleet consists of modern, well-maintained vehicles, including a brand-new Kenworth, a Mack Superliner, and contemporary cattle crates, with configurations available for double deck, B-Double, and road train combinations. As an MC truck driver, the individual will be tasked with the safe and timely transportation of cattle to and from designated locations. There are opportunities for local runs based out of Biloela, which may include day trips to Brisbane. Alternatively, longer runs are also available, which would require the driver to spend time living in the truck. The Kenworth is fully equipped for such scenarios, featuring double bunks, a refrigerator, a microwave, and an ice pack for convenience. The Offer The selected candidate will be offered an impressive remuneration package, which will be subject to negotiation. This position includes the option for accommodation, which can be incorporated into the overall package; candidates must reside in either Biloela or Banana. Biloela is a rural town in the Banana Shire, approximately two hours from Rockhampton, recognised as the beef capital of Australia. The town provides a range of educational institutions, medical facilities, pubs, coffee shops, and grocery stores. Additionally, the area is renowned for its fishing, racing events, national parks, and dams, offering a variety of recreational activities suitable for individuals, couples, and families. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience driving MC (Multi Combination) trucks. They must be self-sufficient, motivated, and take pride in their work and vehicle condition.
