Overview

The Manager Court Practice is a full‐time, ongoing role based in Werribee. The role leads a multi‐disciplinary team to apply best practice practices that deliver positive outcomes for people affected by the criminal justice system. Salary range is $116,413 – $140,849 plus superannuation.

About us

Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to community safety by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programmes, services and community. CCS manages individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post‐sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole.

About the role

The Manager Court Practice is responsible for overseeing operations at one or more CCS locations and for providing direct supervision and oversight of Advanced Practitioners and Supervisors of court assessment and prosecution services (CAPS). The role supports case‐management practitioners, strengthens transitional practices for complex and high‐risk offenders on a Community Correction Order, and develops partnerships with local community services, including courts and police.

Key responsibilities include:

* Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring smooth delivery of services;
* Provide guidance and support to highly skilled case‐management and CAPS practitioners using evidence‐based practices;
* Strengthen existing transitional practices to improve outcomes for complex and high‐risk offenders;
* Contribute to the development of partnerships with local community services, courts and police;
* Participate in the on‐call after‐hours Duty Director system as rostered;
* Manage and monitor financial performance, resource allocation and staffing requirements.

Qualifications and experience required:

* Extensive case‐management experience with complex and high‐risk clients;
* Extensive understanding of best practice risk minimisation and therapeutic initiatives;
* Experience managing teams and resources to ensure efficient service delivery;
* Capability to monitor financial performance and staffing needs;
* Relevant qualification in social work, human services or criminal justice; work experience in a similar field is desirable.
