The role
As a skilled Landscape Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of landscaping tasks, ensuring the efficient use of machinery and tools to meet high standards of quality and safety.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers for various landscaping tasks.
* Install drainage and irrigation systems, including trenching, pipework, and system testing.
* Collaborate with team members to complete both softscape and hardscape projects.
* Ensure all work is performed safely, following WHS procedures, using PPE, and adhering to construction codes and standards.
* Assist in site setup and cleanup, ensuring materials, tools, machinery and waste are managed/maintained properly.
* Maintain accurate records and report work progress to the Site Manager or Supervisor.
* Assist in diagnosing and solving site issues, including drainage problems, soil conditions, and plant health.
Key Requirements
* Certificate/Qualification in relevant industry (Essential).
* Valid driver's license
* Strong knowledge of landscape construction, including drainage, earthworks, and paving.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different site conditions.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to adhering to WH&S policies, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
