Located in both Knoxfield & Cranbourne West, we have a dedicated and professional team working between both sites.
This role is based in our Knoxfield facility and attendance may be required at our Cranbourne facility from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory experiments and analytical tests to determine the chemical composition, functional properties, and behaviour of raw materials and finished products.
Analyse results and undertake research to develop improved theories, processes, and techniques for food production.
Apply research findings to practical, commercial food manufacturing challenges, supporting continuous improvement and new product development.
Test food products for flavour, colour, texture, spreadability, nutritional content, and overall sensory performance.
Provide technical advice on the preservation, processing, packaging, storage, and transportation of food products to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
Develop, review, and implement quality control procedures and food safety standards across the production environment.
Support shelf-life testing, stability trials, formulation adjustments, and product optimisation based on scientific data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, troubleshoot production challenges, and ensure consistent product outcomes.
About You
A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with hands-on laboratory experience.
Working knowledge of food safety regulations, quality systems, and industry best practices.
Ability to interpret data, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings clearly.
A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple projects.
