The OpportunityIf you are an experienced, GIS Data Analyst with expertise in geospatial analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence.
This role requires proficiency in ArcGIS, Power BI, SQL, and Python to analyze spatial data, develop insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to communicate findings effectively.Duties and Responsibilities• Collect, process, and analyze spatial and non-spatial data using GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS).• Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to present geospatial insights.• Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and manipulate data from relational databases.• Utilize Python for automation, spatial analysis, and data processing workflows.• Integrate GIS data with business intelligence tools to support operational and strategic initiatives.• Maintain and improve spatial databases, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency.• Work with cross-functional teams to provide geospatial solutions for business problems.• Develop custom scripts and tools to automate repetitive GIS tasks.General Background and Minimum Requirements• Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar).• Experience with Power BI or other BI tools for data visualization.• Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.• Knowledge of Python for geospatial analysis, automation, and data processing.• Familiarity with spatial databases (PostGIS, SQL Server with spatial extensions, etc.
).• Understanding of geospatial data formats, projections, and coordinate systems.• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
