The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the Area Connect service and will provide transport to jobseekers and participants undertaking education and training activities allowing them to increase skills and to secure and sustain employment.Award Classification: Grade 3 under the Passenger Vehicle Transportation AwardBenefits: Salary packaging options availableSchedule: Casual shifts, Monday to Friday, within standard operating hoursKey responsibilitiesSafely operate Area Connect and CTST vehicles of varying sizesWork independently using our transport software 'Trips' on the in-vehicle iPad, adapting to changes to ensure efficient service delivery and passenger satisfactionEnsure the provision of service is efficient and aligns to schedules and established timeframesConfidently use mobile devices and information technology e.g. mobile phone, iPadMaintain professional and appropriate relationships with passengers, employees and the general public at all timesEnsure that vehicles are always maintained in a secure operating condition including the completion of pre-departure checks and end of day proceduresFollow established procedures for record keeping and reporting and collect fares when requiredWork collaboratively with the Regional and Local Coordinators to communicate feedback / seek solutions to overcome any barriers to providing an optimal serviceRole model positive behaviours to participants, providing suggestions, advice, and open honest feedback where appropriateAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and possesses the following skills and attributes:High standards of professionalism with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levelsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsApproachable, flexible and committed to the delivery of exceptional standards of service to enhance the experience of jobseekersAbility to work autonomously and manage your schedule effectivelyStrong computer literacy including confident use of iPad applications, mobile devices, and basic data entry skillsAvailable for early startsMR / HR licence an advantage but not essentialAll Area Connect employees must:hold a current C class (car) driver's licence with a minimum 2 years driving experience and a clean driving record (no major traffic violations in the past 3 years)hold ancillary certification (PPV - Other) or be willing to obtain within 4 weeks of commencementpossess or be willing to obtain a Working with Vulnerable Persons Cardbe willing to undergo a National Police Check which meets our screening criteriabe an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid working visa with no restrictions on driving/transport workTo ApplyTo view the full position description visit apply via SEEK with your current resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience.Interviews may commence at any time - don't wait to apply!
