Job Opportunity: Hydrographic Surveyor
This role forms part of a 12-week paid summer program that runs from November to February. The program is a key recruitment strategy for future graduates and provides a platform for students to gain hands-on experience in hydrographic surveying.
* Assistance with data preparation, processing multibeam bathymetry data, and working with CAD and GIS software
* Exposure to various hydrographic surveying operations, including nautical charting, geophysics, and remote operations
* Training on survey and data processing software
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for students interested in a career in hydrographic surveying. As a Vacation Student - Hydrographic Surveyor, you will be involved in various tasks, including office-based assistance, exposure to wide range of hydrographic surveying operations, and training on survey and data processing software.
* Students with a strong interest in hydrographic surveying
* Second-year (or higher) students preferred
* Good verbal communication, interfacing, and writing skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time well
* Good teamworking skills
