The Opportunity:
As the Industry Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing senior decision-makers across the mining value chain to participate in IMARC's Hosted Buyer Program.
You'll focus on engaging key decision makers & high-value delegates such as procurement heads, supply chain directors, mine operators, and technical leads, ensuring they are matched with relevant solution providers for pre-scheduled meetings that deliver clear business value to both sides.
This is a strategic, relationship-driven role at the heart of IMARC's value proposition, where the most influential people in the mining industry come together, delivering ideas, inspiration, and serving as a global meeting ground for industry leaders. Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a hosted buyer acquisition strategy targeting senior stakeholders across the mining sector (exploration, extraction, processing, operations)
* Identify and engage decision-makers from global and regional mine operators and major mining contractors responsible for project execution and on-site operations
* Align hosted buyer acquisition with the objectives of exhibitors and sponsors, in close collaboration with the sales and marketing teams
* Manage the full hosted buyer journey, from outreach and qualification through to logistics, meeting scheduling, and on-site delivery
* Lead the on-site execution & delivery of the Hosted Buyer Program, ensuring a smooth and high-value experience for all participants, working closely with the Event Director and Operations team
* Drive a high meeting match rate and strong satisfaction scores through effective qualification and communication
* Collect and analyse post-event feedback from both buyers and solution providers to measure impact and identify improvements
* Deliver clear reporting and ROI metrics to internal stakeholders post-event
Skills and Experience:
* 3+ years' experience in hosted buyer programs, B2B events, or VIP relationship management, experience in mining or heavy industries is a strong plus
* Strong understanding of the global mining landscape and supply chain stakeholders
* Commercial acumen - you understand the value of matching buyers and sellers in a measurable way
* Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to engage senior-level professionals
* Willingness to travel for international events (up to 20%)
* Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (HubSpot), and meeting scheduling tools
* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
