Position Title Cleaner

We are seeking to establish a pool of Cleaners for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Comet Bay College is a modern, state-of-the-art facility catering for students from Year 7 to Year 12, located in Secret Harbour. The college has a Gifted and Talented Academic Program and offers extension through Drama, Dance, Music and Art, with a fully accredited Specialist Australian Rules Football Program.

Responsibilities
Suitable applicants will carry out internal cleaning duties, including:
- maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces
- toilet cleaning
- furniture and fittings cleaning
- window cleaning
- dusting
- rubbish removal
- other general cleaning
You will ideally perform external cleaning duties, including:
- cleaning verandas and covered areas
- rubbish removal
- drinking trough cleaning
- window cleaning
- removal of cobwebs
You may be required to complete vacation cleaning duties including:
- stripping and sealing vinyl floors
- window cleaning
- shampooing of carpets
- pressure cleaning of verandas
- other duties as required by the Cleaner in Charge or Line Manager
Other expectations:
- good attention to detail
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- be organised, honest, reliable and punctual
- excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures
Qualifications and Eligibility

- obtain a valid Working With Children Check
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
