About the Opportunity:
Fairfield Hospital is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Operations Assistants to join our dynamic team in a Casual Pool position.
This a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting patients care and Theatre operations. You will be responsible for safe transportation of patients between wards, Theatres, recovery and other clinical areas, while ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of operating suites.
Your contribution will help maintain a safe, efficient and compassion environment for both patient and staff.
In this hands-on role, you will assist with patient positioning, equipment set-up, and infection control procedures, as well as support the clinical teams with tasks such as transferring patients and maintaining stock levels. You will also help manage waste removal, cleaning duties and messenger services throughout the hospital. If you are a team player with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety, we would love to hear from you.
What You'll be Doing:
Safe transportation of patients to and from theatre as well as the cleanliness of theatres. All staff are expected to take reasonable care that their actions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others, that they comply with any reasonable instruction that is given them and with any reasonable policies/procedures relating to health or safety in the workplace, as well as notifying any hazards/risks or incidents to their managers.

* Do you have experience working in an operating theatre environment, or are you willing to learning the necessary skills to become an effective Operating Assistant?
* Are you able to work a flexible 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, and across morning and afternoon shifts?
* How do you demonstrate teamwork and communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing, in a healthcare setting?
* Can you describe your manual handling abilities and your knowledge around infection control and prevention?
