About the Role: Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Test & Evaluation (T&E) Manager to support the client’s Capability Management (CM) Team. This is a long-term contract role with an initial contract until 30 June 2026, with up to two (2) x 6-month extensions, located onsite in Canberra (APW / MEB).
Responsibilities
* Lead and own all Test & Evaluation (T&E) activities for the client’s program
* Develop, maintain, and govern the Test & Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
* Coordinate testing across software, hardware, networks, and security domains
* Lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), acceptance activities, and assurance processes
* Ensure requirements traceability, defect management, and risk reporting
* Collaborate with Delivery, Engineering, Security, and Capability stakeholders
* Provide independent advice to leadership on readiness, risks, and release decisions
* Support Developmental and Acceptance Test & Evaluation (DT&E / AT&E) activities
* Ensure compliance with client’s standards, safety, and certification requirements
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrated experience as a Test & Evaluation Manager on large, complex ICT programs
* Strong experience developing and managing Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP)
* Proven capability leading Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and acceptance activities
* Experience coordinating testing across software, hardware, networks, and secure environments
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills across delivery, engineering, security, and governance teams
* Experience with requirements traceability (RTM), defect management, and risk reporting
* Ability to provide independent assurance and strategic T&E advice at senior levels
* Qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
* SFIA-aligned capability at Level 6
Desirable Skills
* Experience working within Australian Defence or Federal Government ICT environments
* Familiarity with Defence networks, certification & accreditation (C&A), and governance frameworks
* Experience supporting capability transition into service
* Knowledge of integrated logistics support (ILS), configuration, and change management processes
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV1 security clearance.
