Wyong Leagues Group (WLG) is seeking an addition to its WHS team to contribute to its increasing responsibilities. The WLG is a major player in the NSW Club’s industry, employing 360+ staff, and currently operating 12 venues in total; including 7 on the Central Coast, 3 on the Mid North Coast and 2 west of Sydney. About the role

The WHS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting workplace health, safety and compliance activities across all venues within Wyong Leagues Group. This role is full-time, and based at our head office in Kanwal, although travel between our venues will be required.

Key Responsibilities Include

* Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, SOPs, and related documentation, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal requirements.

* Stay current with legislative and industry changes and update documentation accordingly.

* Support the WHS Management System in line with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW).

* Liaise with relevant managers to maintain contractor and safety documentation.

* Conduct site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments, and monitor contractor compliance.

* Coordinate staff health checks and maintain WHS records and reporting.

* Contribute to continuous improvement in safety and compliance practices.

* Perform administrative tasks, including database management and reporting.

* Participate in WHS committee activities, including preparing and distributing meeting documentation.

* Consult and collaborate with staff and departments on WHS matters.

* Investigate incidents, including reporting, analysis, and follow-up actions.

* Assist with reporting injuries to insurers and support return-to-work processes.

* Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions for hazards.

* Coordinate WHS training, inductions, and toolbox talks.

* Support leaders in meeting safety responsibilities.

* Identify training needs and deliver programs via various methods, including LMS.

* Assist with fire drills and promote a positive safety culture.

What we're looking for

* Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety

* Valid First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

* Valid RSA Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

* Valid RCG Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

* Drivers Licence

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Good computer literacy

* Experience using ELMO LMS preferred but not essential

* 3+ years experience in WHS & the Clubs industry preferred but not essential
