Safety Administrator | Contract | Melbourne
About the Role
Our client is seeking a HSE Administrator to join their team for a minimum 2-month contract in Melbourne.
The role involves working Monday to Friday with 8-hour days. Please note that this is not a FIFO/DIDO role and requires experience in Safety Administration with a qualification in WHS.
Responsibilities:
- Manage document control, ensuring documents are correctly formatted, up-to-date, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee company policies, ensuring they are updated, approved, and communicated as required.
- Develop and control the Corporate Services department's planning and scheduling for all activities.
- Populate and manage the asset management register.
- Prepare and generate mandatory reports, including the monthly HSEQ Board report.
- Maintain registers for hazardous chemicals, hazards, and incidents.
- Manage the training management database, ensuring actions are completed by target dates.
- Arrange meetings and take minutes as needed.
To Be Successful, you must have:
- Proven experience in an HSE administrative role.
- A Certificate IV in WHS or higher qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in an admin support role or similar.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Sharepoint, and familiarity with HSE management software.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
