Senior Production Engineer Opportunity
This role will see the successful incumbent lead a team of junior mining engineers to develop and deliver safe, efficient production plans covering drilling, charging and remote bogging activities.
The team will focus on operational excellence in weekly drill and blast activities, scheduling, planning and managing the 3MS process using Deswik IS, and ensuring adherence to and continuous improvement of drill and blast standards to optimize recovery and minimize dilutions.
* Plan, supervise and implement weekly drill and blast activities with a focus on operational excellence
* Schedule, own, plan and manage the 3MS process using Deswik IS
* Ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of drill and blast standards to optimize recovery and minimize dilutions
* Promote a high-performance culture by actively coaching, engaging with and providing feedback to production and graduate engineers
* Assist the mining manager/alternate with a range of operational and technical tasks, including fulfilling statutory responsibilities when required
* Support daily underground operations and contribute to achieving production targets through sound engineering practices
Requirements
* Strong level in mining software (Deswik IS, Deswik CAD, Deswik UDGM, VEntsim) and Microsoft tools to support production and reporting
* Tertiary qualification in engineering
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* People management skills
* Strong report writing and presentation skills
* Demonstrated ability to take a strategic approach to the continuous improvement of services to achieve the best outcomes for the organization
* Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class C driver's license
* National police clearance – 12 month validity
