The role is based at Nowra NSW. The role is casual with rosters between 14 and 21 hours per week, worked between 6am and 2.00pm Monday to Friday. You will work at HMAS Albatross & HMAS Creswell.
**Who You Are**
You are a vibrant and energetic barista/cafe all-rounder, experienced in high volume coffee making.
You also have food preparation skills able to make high quality menu items for your customers.
You are someone who gets the job done and you enjoy working in a fast paced, customer focused food and beverage outlet delivering great customer service, again and again. You are able to work independently and unsupervised.
You understand how this type of business operates and can quickly learn the ropes. You can also recognise how to improve your day to day performance to the benefit of customers and the business.
You are calm and confident under pressure and also know how to have fun and enjoy the work you do. You relate well to others and can work effectively in a team or independently.
**What you'll be doing**
- Consistently creating excellent customer experiences
- Making fantastic coffee
- Undertaking food preparation
- Managing the safety and hygiene of your work site, yourself, your customers and the food you are handling
- Responding to customer queries, requests and concerns
**What you'll bring with you**
- Barista skills and experience
- Experienced in high volume coffee making
- Experienced in food preparation and HACCP standards.
- Highly developed face to face customer service and communication skills
- Experience in the use of POS, EFTPOS and cash handling
- MUST be able to work independently and unsupervised.
- A high standard of grooming and presentation as this is a front of house role
- Must have driver's license - to drive onto base and escort delivery drivers when required.
You will be paid under the _Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020_ at the rate for a Food & Beverage Attendant Level 1.
