Stream A Level 2-3 (competency based) – $73,509 to $80,043 plus superannuation.9-day fortnightWhat We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a proactive individual to support the Animal Facility and Adoption Centre.
In this role you will ensure animal housing is maintained to a high standard and the care and welfare for all animals entering the facility is provided in a timely and efficient manner, within a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.What Your Day Will Look LikeMaintaining and cleaning of animal housing, and disposal of solid wastes.Daily feeding & watering of all animals and provide regular enrichment to all animals.Ensure that animals are accommodated in accordance with industry best practice.Ensure animal housing signs are accurate including identification of animal temperament, medical status, etc.Conduct suitability assessments - including temperament, behaviour, age, and health - of all animals being considered for rehoming or rescue.What You'll Need For SuccessExperience in animal welfare, handling and caring for animals.Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, volunteers, the public and community groups.Ability to problem solve, and attention to detail.Proven computer literacy skills.Good time management and organisational skills.Ability to work under general supervision and as part of a team.Ability to adapt to changing working environments, technology, work priorities or organisational needs.Benefits Of Working With CouncilCommitted to providing quality services to our community, we strongly support an inclusive and values driven culture, recognising your individual skills, knowledge and talent.
