Key Responsibilities:
* Adhere to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure clinical and personal care services meet the Aged Care Quality Standards and Anthem Care's model of care.
* Provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care that promotes resident wellbeing, independence, and informed choice.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments, identify changes in health status, and develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
* Supervise and coordinate personal carer teams to ensure best practice and consistent delivery of high-quality care.
* Identify, manage, and report clinical risks, and respond effectively to emergencies or rapidly changing situations in accordance with Anthem policy.
* Support residents' rights, dignity, and cultural identity while ensuring they are informed and involved in decisions about their care.
* Model professional conduct, contribute to a positive workplace culture, and actively support training and quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
* Relevant bachelor's degree or higher
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Demonstrated experience in residential aged care nursing, with particular emphasis on clinical assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and medications administration
* Proven leadership ability
* Demonstrated competencies in operational planning, management information systems and processes, clinical staff training and assessment
* Ability to coordinate in a multi-skilled team environment and to communicate effectively with management, staff, and stakeholders, including medical and allied health professionals
* Time management skills and an ability to logically prioritise varying work demands
* Understanding of the ageing process and a commitment to advocate for older people in residential care
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications in gerontology, dementia, palliative care
* Gerontological Nursing experience
* Postgraduate certificate in a relevant clinical field
* No registration notations, conditions, or reprimand
