About the role
We're looking for a Social Media and Content Producer for our client Atlas Events.
Atlas Events delivers some of Australia's most recognised running festivals. Social media plays a central role in how participants experience our events before, during, and long after race day.
We're looking for someone who understands how to tell stories in motion, someone who can turn race energy, community moments, and operational detail into content that feels timely, relevant, and platform-native.
What you'll be doing
Content creation and storytelling
* Ideate, create, and deliver high-quality content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, with a strong focus on video
* Produce Reels and short-form video in both planned and fast-turnaround environments, particularly across race weekends
* Create content that reflects the participant experience and brings each event's personality to life
* Edit and adapt content using tools such as Canva, Adobe, CapCut, or similar
* Optimise content for platform performance, best practice, and audience behaviour
* Stay across social and cultural trends within endurance sport and events
Social media management
* Own and maintain social content calendars across multiple events
* Schedule, publish, and manage day-to-day posting across platforms
* Engage with participants and the broader community in a timely, considered way
* Monitor content performance and share insights, learnings, and recommendations
Collaboration and coordination
* Work closely with event account managers to align content with broader marketing activity
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders and other marketing team members to gather information, approvals, and assets
* Support race weekend operations by capturing and publishing live content
What we're looking for
Essential
* 2+ years' experience in social media or content roles, in-house or agency
* Strong experience creating and editing short-form video content
* Confidence managing content calendars and multiple deadlines
* Clear written communication and strong visual storytelling skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
* Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with others
* Genuine interest and passion in sport, events, or endurance communities
Nice to have
* TikTok content creation or channel management experience
* Experience working with designers or creative teams
* Understanding of performance metrics and content optimisation
* Experience working in events, sport, or community-led brands
Why apply for this role?
* Work with an established portfolio of iconic Australian running events
* Join a passionate, hands-on and supportive team
* Receive mentoring and support to help take your career to the next level
* Role offers autonomy, responsibility, and room to grow
* Opportunity to be on the ground at major event weekends
