Sunshine Coast Council seeks a highly skilled professional to lead and manage its land and property portfolio.
About the Role
* Lead and mentor a team of Property Officers to achieve key objectives.
* Provide expert advice on land and compliance matters for both Council owned and managed land assets as well as private landholdings.
* Effectively manage land transactions including easements, encroachments, land access, and road closure proposals.
* Develop strategies to optimise the use of Council's land to reduce costs and explore revenue generating opportunities.
* Manage leasing and tenure arrangements across diverse portfolios.
* Negotiate tenancy agreements and resolve complex property issues.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on property projects.
* Ensure adherence to legislation, policies, and best practice standards.
* Drive continuous improvement in property and land management processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of property law and governance, and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
