Good Shepherd Lutheran College is a co-educational, non-government school for ELC to Year 12 students, with three campuses across Darwin: Howard Springs, Palmerston and Leanyer.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Science Technician to support the effective operation of our College's science department. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring teachers and students have the resources, materials, and safe laboratory environment needed to deliver high-quality science learning experiences.
As the Science Technician, you will prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, chemical solutions, and practical materials; manage stock and resource allocation; support teachers during practical lessons; and ensure compliance with all safety and hazardous-chemical regulations. You will also play a key role in maintaining organised laboratory spaces, trialling experiments, assisting with demonstrations, and supporting students with project requirements.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, safety-minded, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills, initiative, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory practice are essential.
