The Role
This is a pivotal position within a world‐renowned research institute, directly supporting the Founding Director of the Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI) to provide high‐level executive assistance. The role acts as the liaison on behalf of the Founding Director for communication with important external stakeholders and coordinates associated work such as events, travel and meetings. In addition to supporting administration and financial management for the Centre, this role provides research, analysis and recommendations to support the Founding Director in various projects including research grant proposals.
The Administration Officer is a rewarding role that really makes a difference to the work that is done within the Institute, demanding critical thinking and judgment to achieve successful outcomes in the face of challenges, and offering ample opportunities to take ownership of various tasks.
About You
You will have strong administrative experience including providing administrative support to senior management. Computer‐based skills, attention to detail, planning and organisation skills are notches on your belt. You can proactively manage your busy workload to cope in a fast‐paced environment and have a high degree of professionalism reflected in your work and in your communications with stakeholders. You enjoy a culture built on collaboration and respect and have an interest in health research and/or higher education.
