About Mount Lofty Ranges Vineyard:
Established in 1992, Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard is a sustainable, boutique vineyard nestled high in the Adelaide Hills at Lenswood, South Australia.
The first wines were produced in 1997 and in 1998 the Cellar Door was opened, one of the first in the Adelaide Hills. Once an apple orchard in the 1950s, the property is set on a steep sloping parcel of land 550 metres above sea level. In 2009 Sharon Pearson and Garry Sweeny took over the picturesque vineyard.
Mt Lofty Range Vineyard proudly adopts a sustainable approach to farming and is home to koalas, kangaroos, echidnas and native birdlife, half of the property has been retained as pristine natural bushland.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Cellar Door Manager will be responsible for managing and promoting the Cellar Door as a premium wine tourism destination.
You will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of the Cellar Door with the aim to deliver wine tourism experiences and increase wine sales and business revenue in line with the Mt Lofty Ranges business plan.
You will manage the continued growth and development of Cellar Door visitation and Club Lofty (DTC) growth.
There will be a strong focus on the development of experiences, wine sales, and DTC growth to ensure sales targets are achieved. Some off-site tasting may be required.
Key Accountabilities:
- Daily running of cellar door
- Managing Customer experiences
- Coordinating and executing group visits
- Create and implement new wine experiences and events that will assist in the growth of foot traffic to our cellar door, and see increased wine sales.
- Create and manage monthly cellar door and online sales strategies and targets
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service by providing educational, unique, informative and enjoyable customer experiences
- Work closely with our FOH and BOH teams
- Work closely with the General Manager and Marketing Manager
- Operate digital platforms, POS, CRM, and online bookings.
- Comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol regulations.

You will possess the following:
- An understanding of wine and a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior experience in sales, within the wine industry would be a bonus
- Sales forecasting and budgeting skills
- Have strong problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends
- Creative and lateral approach to growing cellar door engagement and strengthening visitor experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Outstanding customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
- Have strong computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office 365 suit
- Flexibility over a five-day week roster
- Possession of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and or Responsible Person Badge
- Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
- Have the right to work in Australia
