TFR Lawyers have an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional with strong leadership attributes to take on our newly established role as Finance Manager.
We are seeking applications from highly motivated and professional individuals who are suitably qualified to perform the role. The role is responsible for overseeing the day to day financial operations and supports the implementation of the firms financial strategic objectives, including enhanced performance reporting, financial planning and forecasting.
The position is full time.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
The Position:
* Work collaboratively with TFR directors and staff in providing the day-to-day financial services for TFR.
* Responsible for setting clear expectations with direct reports, conducting bi-annual performance reviews.
* Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities to finance staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
* Ensure TFR complies with all relevant local, state, and federal tax laws, as well as industry-specific regulations.
* Responsible for the preparation of Super, STP, Payroll Tax, BAS and Instalment Activity Statement and lodgment.
* Accountable for managing collections and following up on overdue client invoices to minimize outstanding receivables.
* Use of online business banking applications and software, direct deposits, payments and transfers, international transfers.
* Accountable for the management of the end-to-end trust accounting process and annual trust audit.
* Lead the preparation of annual budgets together with external advisors and directors, ensuring alignment with TFR's financial goals, and monitoring budget performance throughout the year.
* Responsible for identifying financial risks, including liquidity risks and fraud risks, and mitigating these risks by establishing appropriate financial policies and safeguards.
* Accountable for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, ensuring compliance with tax laws and proper deductions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in finance accounting, or a related field.
* CA /CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred but not required.

Salary to be negotiated commensurate with experience.
