A dynamic role is available for an Aquaculture Specialist at a leading aquaculture facility.
About the Role
This is a full-time contract position until end of March, working 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm) on a 2/2/3 roster (two days on, two days off, three days on).
The Aquaculture Specialist will play a key role in maintaining animal health and ensuring optimal conditions for prawn growth in our fast-paced aquaculture environment.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct daily pond monitoring, checking prawn health, water quality and aeration systems
2. Follow all safety protocols and procedures
3. Use digital systems (iPad) to record data and complete tasks
4. Support the team with general farm operations as required
Requirements
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
* Strong attention to detail and capable of identifying potential issues early
* Reliable and safety-conscious
* Basic technology skills - comfortable using iPads
* Aquaculture/farming experience advantageous but not essential
* Ability to work 6am-6pm on a 2/2/3 roster
* Team player with positive attitude
* Hold a driver's license and have reliable transport to site
* Full working rights in Australia
