* Salary range: $210,332 to $266,677 p.a. (L18-L27)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
As a paediatric surgeon at the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), there is an exciting range of surgical challenges including emergent and planned neonatal surgery, general paediatric surgery, thoracic, burns, trauma, and the ongoing management of critically ill paediatric surgical patients.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
* Fellowship or comparability of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
* Qualified as a medical practitioner, qualifications in speciality areas and current registration and / or eligible for registration as a paediatric surgeon with the Medical Board of Australia.
* On call: Appointees will be required to participate in an on-call roster.
* Driver's License: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
* Travel: Travel on small planes or ferry may be required. The successful applicant/s will need to be able to commit to this requirement.
