Remuneration: $66.50 - $67.83 per hour
About The Opportunity
We are currently offering two exciting opportunities to join our team: a temporary position available until 23 October 2026 at either Liverpool or Campbelltown, and a permanent position based at Campbelltown. Both roles provide the chance to contribute meaningfully within a supportive and energetic clinical environment.
The Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS) is a dedicated, multidisciplinary team providing specialist mental health support to women experiencing moderate to severe mental health concerns during pregnancy and the first year of their baby’s life. Based at Liverpool Hospital or Queen Street, Campbelltown, we service the Bankstown, Liverpool, and Fairfield regions.
Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant/Clinical Midwife Consultant (CNC2/CMC2), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care, combining both clinical and non-clinical responsibilities. Your work will involve:
- Clinical care: Providing case management and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for women from their second trimester until their baby reaches 12 months.
- Leadership & collaboration: Working autonomously while contributing to a cohesive, multidisciplinary team.
- Service improvement: Driving best practices in perinatal mental health through education, consultation, and quality improvement initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
The Clinical Nurse Consultant/Clinical Midwife Consultant (CNC/CMC) is an expert practitioner who, through leadership facilitates evidence-based practice. The CNC/CMC will promote a service which fosters clinical excellence, research and professional leadership. The CNC/CMC contributes to quality health care by collaborating with the health care providers and consumer groups, developing clinical practice standards and evaluating their outcomes. The CNC/CMC is responsible for providing services which facilitate effective management of the care in the given specialty.
Requirements
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
- Approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which the employee is appointed.
- Describe how you have provided expert clinical advice and leadership within a defined specialty.
- Explain your experience in contributing to strategic and operational planning within a clinical service.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license.
