About the RoleWe are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Commissioning and Operations team based at the Girgarre Solar Farm (VIC – ) located approximately 40 km west of Shepparton on a full time 24-month fixed term contract. The role involves being responsible for the everyday operations and maintenance activities at the Girgarre Solar Farm in addition to other Solar Farm projects managed by Beon on occasion to ensure safe, efficient and on target operational performance. These activities include inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding and fault rectification of Low Voltage, Medium Voltage and High Voltage Solar Farm equipment, as well as other general facility maintenance to grounds and buildings. Note: This role and you will be required to occasional travel to Melbourne and other solar farm sites as required. What will you deliver? At all times, do all things reasonable to ensure the health and safety of themselves and others on the work site Safely and efficiently undertake all site maintenance activities to equipment, grounds and buildings Ensure the delivery of maintenance activities are focused on achieving contractual requirements around reliability & performance Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders Assist in the preparation and compliance of operational procedures Ensure that all work activities are undertaken in accordance with regulations, policies, company practices, processes and standards. To be successful in this role you will have: A working knowledge of the concepts and principles of solar farm operations A working knowledge and experience in the concepts and principles of internal resource and subcontractor management Strong WHS focus and awareness of safety systems and procedures Practical experience maintaining operating equipment, ideally with electrical / electronic equipment Strong fault-finding abilities Ability to read & interpret electrical schematics diagrams Working understanding of HV operating procedures, practices and outage planning Basic understanding of IT systems- SCADA, GIS, Various monitoring systems Education/Qualifications Certificate 3 in Electrotechnology – Electrician (or equivalent) Australian Driver's License HV operator qualification desirable, or the ability to obtain Experience in O& M activities desirable Renewables, Distribution/Transmission or Generation industry experience desirable Your career with us:We have a diversity of teams across our business, all contributing to great customer and community outcomes.
