POOL LIFEGUARDS - CASUAL
Weddin Shire Council is seeking applications from suitably qualified, experienced persons and those willing to train to perform a range of lifeguard, customer service and facility maintenance duties within Council's Aquatic Centres at Grenfell and Quandialla.
Intending applicant Lifeguards should possess demonstrated experience, working in an Aquatic Centre or similar environment. They must hold a current RLSS – Australia Pool Lifeguard Licence or above, or equivalent (or ability to readily acquire prior to commencement), current working with children check (or ability to readily acquire prior to commencement) and a working knowledge of roles and responsibilities under WHS Legislation. Junior Lifeguards need to be capable swimmers and be prepared to obtain Lifeguard qualifications.
Condition of employment
* Appointment to the position will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award and Council's salary structure.
* Ideally candidates will be 18 years and above, with consideration for those applying for the role aged between 16 and 17.
* A satisfactory health assessment, drug and alcohol screening, police and working with children check is a pre-requisite to an offer of employment.
